Donors Want Peace of Mind—Nonprofits Want Stronger Engagement
Many donors don’t have their advance directives easily accessible, leaving them and their families vulnerable in emergencies.
Nonprofits want to engage donors meaningfully, but traditional appreciation methods often lack lasting impact.
A tangible, useful benefit can differentiate your nonprofit and show genuine care.
Here is how partnering with Legal Directives works:
Our professional design team works with you to design a custom Emergency Medical Information wallet card and branded donor experience that reflects your brand and represents your non-proft to donors. Our team guides you every step of the way.
Your nonprofit enrolls donors in Legal Directives. Donors upload their advance directives, emergency contacts, physician information in a secure, online portal.
Donors receive their Emergency Medical Information wallet card branded with your nonprofit logo and colors.
Your nonprofit benefits from increased loyalty and engagement, while donors gain peace of mind knowing their healthcare wishes are protected.
Special nonprofit pricing
Customized wallet cards
Complimentary client brochures
Branded donor experience
The card and membership create ongoing touch points and meaningful interaction.
“As a planned giving professional at multiple charities the last 15 years, this is one of the most meaningful and service focused stewardship experiences I’ve seen. I am always looking for opportunities to thank and provide meaningful value to the donors who contribute to the success of our organization. Being ready for medical emergencies is relevant to everyone and this card makes that just a bit easier in hard moments. I also like that the Legal Directives Donor Rewards Program is another annual touch point with each donor that uses it, while being incredibly cost effective.”

Accessible Protection
The wallet card gives emergency responders and hospitals two ways to access your healthcare directives and emergency contacts.
Legal Directives provides a system for immediate, 24/7 access to your healthcare directives and vital medical information, ensuring that physicians, emergency medical personnel, and family members have your instructions when needed most.
You can store important documents and information, including your Health Care Power of Attorney, Living Will, HIPAA Authorization, Emergency Contacts, Physician Information, Allergies, and Medical Conditions.
After enrolling, you receive a wallet card that provides emergency responders and hospitals with two methods for access: an automated phone system or a secure online portal to retrieve your documents and contact information.
The process involves three steps: Enroll (complete a form and submit your directives), Receive Wallet Card (which includes stickers for your driver’s license), and 24/7 Protection (with access provided through the wallet card instructions).
The service is used by Adult Members and College Students who wish to protect themselves by ensuring their legally prepared healthcare directives are available instantly in the event of an unforeseen medical emergency.
